What animates your life?
What animates your life? Air? Water? Sunlight (through photosynthesis with plants that is then consumed by you and the creature you consume)? Oh, I wish we are directly animated by sunlight—and we are! We are! Did your soul not sing when it last saw the sun? We were so happy for the sun!
What animates your life? Maybe you'll think it's food. What turns this clump of earth—transformed into plants then transformed into the creatures that eat them—that you put through your digestive tract into you? Did you do it? Is it not a miracle? Is it not a miracle that food went in and produced you; not your parents or a monkey, but you? Did you consciously do it? Did you tell your cells to act in such and such ways? But your cells still did it.
What animates your life? It is not you. But you are animated, and alive! Be animated, and be alive!
Surely, you felt some animation and aliveness, when you mustered up your animation and aliveness. What was it that you called on? What animates your life?
It is the Divine. What else can it be, but the Divine? Turn to the Divine! I'm so thankful for the Divine. Because it has gone before me and prepared the way. What else could have happened? What else drove the pulse in this heart, and the warmth in my feelings? Thank you, Divine. Thank you, Divine. What else is there, but you, Divine?
